Behind on your books? Start here.
Whether it's three months or three years, catch-up work follows the same path: gather the statements, reconcile every account, fix what was miscategorized, and file whatever is outstanding. It's priced up front as a one-time project, then monthly bookkeeping keeps you current.

The details
How catch-up pricing works
A catch-up costs your monthly fee — bookkeeping retainer plus payroll, if you have it — for each month behind. Three months behind on a $550 retainer is $1,650. You see the price before any work starts, not an open-ended hourly bill.
One-time charges for moving off spreadsheets, desktop software, or paper still apply on top. Backlogs longer than 24 months are priced at 24 months as a minimum and confirmed once we've reviewed the records.
What waiting costs
Unfiled GST and corporate returns keep accruing penalties and interest, and CRA can issue its own assessment if nothing is filed. Every month of backlog also makes receipts harder to find and transactions harder to explain.
Common questions
I only have bank statements — no receipts. Can you still help?
Yes. Bank and card statements are the backbone of a catch-up. Missing receipts can limit what's deductible, so we'll flag where records matter most.
Do I need to catch up before starting monthly bookkeeping?
Yes. Monthly bookkeeping starts from a reconciled opening balance — the catch-up gets you there, and the monthly retainer keeps you there.
