Who keeps your books
Tallyforth is a bookkeeping firm for small businesses in British Columbia. It is a trade name of Labyrinth Holdings Inc., a British Columbia company. We work remotely with clients across the province, so there is no office to visit and no drop-in hours — everything happens by email, by phone, and through the file we keep for you.
We keep the books monthly for trades and construction businesses, rental property and holding companies, restaurants, retailers, and professional services firms. Most clients are one to twenty people, incorporated or about to be, and would rather have one firm keep the books all year than a bookkeeper for part of it and a rush at year end.
One bookkeeper is assigned to your file and stays with it. That is the person who keeps your books each month, runs your payroll, and answers when you write, so you never explain your business twice. At year end, the same person prepares your books for handoff to your CPA.
How we work
- A package price that's fixed each month, from $295, set by your transactions and accounts. Invoices, bills, payments and the people on payroll are billed on your actual count. Never an hourly rate that changes when a month gets busy.
- Tallyforth's own bookkeeping software is included in every package, and it's where new clients are set up. If you'd rather stay on QuickBooks Online or Xero, we work in your file for $100 a month and the subscription stays yours.
- Bills are forwarded to an address we set up for you. If you pay them yourself, we attach each one to its payment at no charge. If you want, we schedule the payments through Plooto for you to approve, and its own fees are inside our price. Every payment is released by you, not by us.
- Invoicing is built in. Send invoices yourself from Tallyforth's software at no extra charge. Send us copies of invoices you raise elsewhere, or your billable items, and we record or create them for a price per invoice. Whichever way, we never chase or collect payment from your customers.
- Year-end preparation for handoff to your CPA, from books we've kept and reconciled all year. It's included in every package.
