One page per business: what needs you, how the month is going, and the next thing to do. Arrange it for your phone and your desk separately.
The software your bookkeeper works in, open to you any time. Included in every plan.
Your bookkeeper works in it every month. You open it whenever you like, from a phone or a desk, and see the same books they see: what has come in, what is owed, what needs you, and the reports a bank or a buyer would ask for.
It is included in every plan. If you would rather keep QuickBooks Online or Xero, we work in your file and that subscription stays yours to pay.
One page per business: what needs you, how the month is going, and the next thing to do. Arrange it for your phone and your desk separately.
Invoices with your logo and colours, sent by email as a PDF. Estimates that turn into draft invoices when the customer says yes. Recurring invoices on a schedule. Payments received, including one cheque against several invoices.
Customers, a price list of your products and services, and jobs, so profit by job is a report rather than a spreadsheet. Reminders are yours to send; Tallyforth never chases your customers.
Every bill recorded as it arrives, with the supplier and what is due when. Nothing leaves your account until you approve it, and Plooto moves the money.
Every transaction, reconciled against your bank statements to the cent. When a line is recorded, the software proposes an account from what you have done before and says why; your bookkeeper accepts or corrects it. A receipts inbox for the photos you take. A chart of accounts already mapped to the CRA's codes.
Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, liquidity snapshot, accounts receivable and payable ageing, revenue by customer, expenses by category, budget vs actual spending, profit by job, customer statements, supplier spend, trial balance, general ledger, audit trail, tax filings, and the GIFI rollup for year-end.
Each report says which period it covers and whether that period is closed.
Zero-based: every dollar in the bank is given a job, starting with the tax you will owe. Activity comes from the ledger, so the budget and the books can't disagree.
Each pay run worked out and waiting for your approval. Employees, source deductions, WorkSafeBC, T4s and Records of Employment, all in one place.
Export the journal and the trial balance as CSV, or the whole book as Beancount, any time. Leaving is a button, never a request. If you cancel, your books stay readable for six years.
It never posts anything on its own. It reads, matches, proposes and checks; a person accepts.
It never contacts your customers or suppliers.
It never holds your money. Payments run through Plooto once you approve them.
Yes. Every Tallyforth plan includes it, with no per-user or per-report charge. If you keep QuickBooks Online or Xero instead, you keep paying for that subscription yourself.
A self-serve plan exists for exactly that, and it is what you move to if you take your books over from us. Under a managed plan your bookkeeper does the monthly work and you use the portal to send invoices, approve bills and payroll, add receipts, and read the reports.
Statements are exported from your online banking and imported each month; lines are matched to the books and your bookkeeper checks the rest. A direct bank connection is planned once Canada's open banking rules are in force.
In Canada. The database is hosted in the Canada Central region, and any model the software uses runs in Canada too.
You can export them at any time, and that is never gated or delayed. If you cancel, you keep full access for six months and a readable, downloadable archive for six years after that.
Pricing is on the pricing page; the software is the same on every plan.
